Hey thanks for stopping by to read a little about Ingrained!  My name is Lorraine, I am the creator and designer behind ‘Ingrained’ a jewellery boutique based in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. Ever since I was a child I have been captivated by nature and its supreme beauty. Whether it's collecting and pressing wild flowers and dandelions or foraging for seaside treasures with my faithful english cocker spaniel. I believe we have a responsibility to our environment therefore I incorporate the use of recycled silver in some of my work as well as eco-friendly packaging.

I am primarily a self taught jeweller with an insatiable desire to learn more every day about the trade. Being self taught has its benefits such as learning to be self reliant and coming up with creative ways to do things that might normally be done in an orthodox manner. I love challenging myself to learn new techniques. As a small jewellery studio I am responsible for everything from taking photos, to writing descriptions, gift wrapping your orders, sourcing raw materials, maintaining this website and promoting Ingrained around New Zealand at craft markets.

When I am not working in the studio my cocker spaniel Molly keeps me more than busy and demands attention at every opportunity. She has become the studio mascot and accompanies me to markets and greets customers with her waggy tail.
